Find Scholarships

Assistance for students in finding and applying for a wide variety of scholarships

Are there scholarships out there for me?

The answer is YES!

  • ...even if you don't have the best grades ever.
  • ...even if you want to study abroad, or are an international student studying in the U.S.
  • ...even if you don't know what your major will be yet.
  • ...even if your parents make "too much money" for you to get financial aid.
  • ...even if the only thing you participate in after school is your fast food job.
  • ...even if you can't think of one good reason why someone would give you money to study.

Make this your new part-time job--you know that you are always on the internet anyway!  Find money that you will not have to pay back, instead of drowning in student loan debt. Just fill out an application and/or write a short personal essay--and there is help for that, too.

This guide will get you started by introducing you to the wide variety of trusted resources out there (including opportunities specific to VCU); by suggesting tips for organization and success; and, finally, by providing help with your applications and essays.

You may want to start by answering the profile questions at ScholarshipExperts.com or Fastweb  to get an idea, quickly, of just how many things about yourself have matches out there in the land of scholarships and grants.  And, if you are easily overwhelmed by all of the possibilities out there, these sites could also be the "home base" for your search.  Good luck!
