Learn More About Open Educational Resources

Open educational resources (OER) are teaching, learning, and research resources that are free of cost and made available without copyright or licensing restrictions that limit how they are used. OER are an example of affordable course content.

Affordable course content describes any free or low-cost educational resources that can serve as alternatives to high-cost resources.

Open educational resources and affordable course content can include syllabi, course modules, textbooks, videos, tests, journal articles, assessment tools, and any other open, free, or low cost materials used to support learning. Learn more about open educational resources and affordable course content from the Open Educational Resources guide.
