Use the laser cutter/engraver

VCU Libraries is excited to announce the availability of a laser cutter/engraver in the Innovative Media department on the lower level of Cabell Library. Explore the guidelines and other materials to help you use them effectively.

Welcome

Virginia Commonwealth Libraries' Innovative Media department currently maintains an Epilog Zing 24 laser cutter/engraver.

This laser cutter/engraver can be found in The Workshop in James Branch Cabell Library, in room 078 of the lower level.

Supporting software (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop) is installed on several workstations in The Workshop.  This technology is made available to encourage a spirit of exploration and experimentation by the VCU community with this newly-accessible form of design and production.  We hope that you will share your experience as part of the growing community of hands-on practitioners, makers, and others interested in the technology.
