Government Shutdown

Finding information during a government shutdown.

Welcome!

During a Federal government shutdown, government agencies not directly involved in creating and publishing legislation or protecting lives nad property are not active. In most cases, agency websites will not be updated; information currently available on federal websites will remain available in most cases. An exception to this are the legislative websites for the Congress, which are mandated to keep the public informed of the Congress' business, regardless of the operational status of the government.

Most federal employees will be furloughed until the government reopens, so queries and requests made through government forms or email addresses will likely not be answered.
