The VCU Libraries APA guide (Citation Styles and Guides / APA) will help with articles and other standard sources, but music and media are generally not covered in a psychology manual. Follow the basic principles and be consistent.
See this example from the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association.
General format for citing music:
Writer, A. (year). Title of song [Recorded by B. Artist (if different from writer)]. On Title of
album [Medium (CD, record, cassette, etc.)] Location: Label. (Date of recording if not
same as above.)
Davis, M. (1991). Teo's bag. On Circle in the round [CD]. New York, NY: Columbia.
Darion, J., & Leigh, M. (1965). Impossible dream [Recorded by Brian Stokes Mitchell]. On
Man of la Mancha [CD]. New York, NY: RCA Victor (2003).
Let the databases do some of the work. Many of our subscription databases have a feature that will produce a citation in various styles. Look for a link or icon titled "cite", "save, print, email", or "export." You will have to check for accuracy, but it is a great way to get started.
