Faxing at Cabell Library

Cabell Library has a self-service public fax machine located near the copier/printer corral on the first floor. The cost is $1.75 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page; international rates are higher. Payment can be made with a credit or debit card. Assistance is available to users at any time via a telephone that connects directly to the fax vending company's customer service helpline.

    Note: Other faxing services are available at the Valentine House, off Franklin Street. 

Faxing on the MCV Campus

There is no fax service available at the Tompkins-McCaw Library.  However, students, faculty, and staff will find fax services available at the MCV Campus Post Office located in the Virginia Mechanics Institute building (1000 E. Marshall Street).

Receiving a Fax

Faxes may be sent or received at VCU Mail Services facilities.

Students may send messages from the VCU Mail Center from 8am - 2pm Monday-Friday. Incoming fax messages are free and can be sent to (804) 828-1355 (on the Monroe Park Campus) or (804) 828‐3299 (on the MCV Campus). Students are notified by telephone of their fax messages or a fax message may be forwarded through Campus Mail. Incoming fax messages MUST include the following information: recipient’s full name, residence hall, room number, and telephone number.  Outgoing fax transmissions are charged a nominal fee.  Find more information in the VCU Mail Services Guide.
