Technology

To print from your laptop in the library, you will need to download and install software to your computer. For downloading help, please contact the Technology Services IT Support Center.

As a VCU student or scholar, you have access to VCU Libraries' databases and online tools whether you are on or off-campus. You simply need to know your eID and password to get connected off campus. When you click on an article or database using the library's website while off-campus, you will be prompted to enter your eID and password before being granted access. VCU Libraries provides a wide range of media and tech services. 

  • The Workshop -- The Workshop is located on the lower level (basement) of Cabell Library. You can watch DVDs, listen to CDs, edit your own films and audio, and learn more about media technology.
  • IT Support Center -- Located in room B-30 of Cabell Library (take a left when you enter the library and go down the stairs), the HelpIT Center provides computer and tech support. Make sure to make an appointment before you go!
