Free with premium options. Very well-suited for the researcher who downloads PDF full-text while searching. Modern and intuitive. Premium upgrades allow for increased storage space and enhanced group capabilities. More
Zotero
Free and open source. Very well-suited for the researcher who saves references to review later. Configurable and powerful. For researchers who often use sources that are not books or articles, Zotero is likely the best option. More
EndNote
Has student pricing. Designed for the researcher who works with large groups, writes in a variety of formats, and has sources in a variety of formats. More
