Organization-level persistent identifiers

Several persistent identifiers have emerged to tell one organization from another, and none have become the definitive best choice the way ORCID has. Different ones are used by different outside organizations like publishers, funders, and so on. Here are some identifiers for VCU and VCU Health.

VCU Health's GRID ID is grid.417264.2. Please note that VCU Health and VCU generally connect to each other in GRID's back-end, but not all subunits of either will connect.
ISNI (links to Ringgold) ID
VCU and VCU Health and MCV share ISNI ID: 0000 0001 2194 2791. INSI and Ringgold persistent identifiers are related/ Therefore, if you are supposed to enter a Ringgold ID for journal article publishing, the ISNI will often work as an alternative.
If that doesn't work, try Ringgold ID 6889. However, because Ringgold is not open, the ID is hard to check for accuracy.
