The Virginia Center on Aging is a statewide agency created by the Virginia General Assembly. Its mission is to define and protect the quality of life for older Virginians so that they may remain autonomous, contribute to their communities, and have access to resources for continued learning and personal growth.
In addition, the Virginia Center on Aging provides data, resources and insightful recommendations to decision makers (legislators, practitioners, service providers and caregivers) to enable them to make informed decisions about our elderly.

The Virginia Division for the Aging fosters the independence and well-being of older Virginians and supports their caregivers through leadership, advocacy and oversight of state and community programs, and guides the Commonwealth in preparing for an aging population.

The Virginia Community Healthcare Association is a nonprofit, statewide association representing more than 110 community/migrant health center sites and similar organizations. The Association provides a number of services to its members all with the goal of increasing access to health care for all Virginians.

Established in 1999 by the Virginia General Assembly, the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth (VFHY) promotes healthy living habits and reduces and prevents youth tobacco use and childhood obesity statewide. VFHY receives no taxpayer funds. Its budget comes from an 8.5% share of Virginia’s annual payments from the nation’s major tobacco manufacturers through the Master Settlement Agreement (MSA).

The mission of the Virginia Network for Geospatial Health Research is to support both public and private sector initiatives using geospatial analysis of health and healthcare relevant data. VANGHR represents a major collaborative effort in support of geospatial analysis of public health data and the promotion of health equity. VANGHR supports and coordinates existing expertise in geospatial analysis, health policy, health planning, environmental health analysis and epidemiology. VANGHR facilitates the development of new approaches and methodologies to sustain effective public health and healthcare interventions.

The Virginia Rural Health Association (VRHA) is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization working for the 2.5 million people who call rural Virginia their home. Our mission is to improve the health of rural Virginians through education, advocacy, and fostering cooperative partnerships.
