Getting Methods from SciFinder

For select sources, SciFinder has added CAS Analytical methods, where the information about the method used has been pulled out into a step-by-step, recipe-style methodology.

To find the references with this enhancement from a results page when searching for References:

  1. Click on the "CAS Content" limiter on the left to see the limiting options
  2. Click on "Analytical Methods" to narrow your results down to just the sources that have had their methods compiled

Once you have found a source that looks interesting or like it is likely to have a method you would want to use

  1. Click on the title of the source to get to a page with just that source listed
  2. On the left, click on "Analytical Methods" or scroll down to get to the list of methods pulled from the article
  3. Click on the title of the method to see the page with the "recipe"
