If you can't find the book that you want at VCU, try these resources to find what you need.
Dissertations may be useful for finding criticism on newer authors or specialized topics, and the bibliographies of recent dissertations can often provide a wealth of new sources.
LGBTQ materials are located in various places in VCU Libraries because of the multidisciplinary nature of the research. The VCU Libraries use the Library of Congress Classification system for cataloging and shelving, which identifies books by primary subject matter. You will likely find most of our titles located in the HQ section, particularly in the HQ74 - HQ77.95 area on the 3rd floor of Cabell Library. However, there may be books relevant to your research outside the social sciences - Homosexuality and dance titles are shelved in GV, some of the titles on gay rights are in KF, and titles on homosexuality and genes are in QP.
Google Books provides full-text access to many books in the public domain or out of copyright, and partial access to others.
