Resources for Military Students

VCU Libraries has provided this guide to support you as you begin your academic life. These pages provide links to orient you towards finding books and other sources, as well as introducing the research process that will help you succeed in your assignments. James Branch Cabell Library

Health Sciences Library

• Located on the MCV Campus, this is the largest medical library in the state of Virginia

Library of Virginia offers borrowing privileges to any resident of Virginia. Photo identification, proof of residence, and current address are required. Online and mail registrations are available. 

Public libraries offer borrowing privileges to anyone living in their region. Some of the resources available through your local public library may include:

• Thousands of books available for checkout
• Ebooks that can be downloaded to your cell phone, ereader or tablet
• Access to popular magazines via your cell phone, ereader or tablet
• DVDs and music
• Research databases
• Comfortable facilities to read or study
• Community events and programming
