Performance Art

Research Tip: Search for performance art and related styles, movements, and modes 
with some of the following terms in VCUL Search and library databases:

• Add 'performance' as a second term to artists and art movements (e.g. Cindy Sherman AND performance)
• Create a search phrase with "performance art*" in quotes and with * for alternate endings and plurals (e.g. art, arts, artist, etc.)
• Use synonyms and alternative categories e.g. happenings, installations, interactive art, participatory art, events, video art
• Search for a specific movement: e.g. Fluxus, Dada, Surrealism.
• Search for specific artists: e.g. Laurie Anderson, John Cage, Merce Cunningham, Dan Graham, Yoko Ono, etc.
