    This site has an interface designed for healthcare professionals and another for the public. News, tools, a primer on aging, disease digests, and alternative medicine information are among the many links. There is a utility to search the site by keyword.
  • Medscape Resource Center
    Includes full-text overviews of problems commonly seen in geriatric patients, as well as links to aging-related news items, selected recent journal articles and links to associations' web pages.  Scroll to "Geriatric Care" link.  Free Registration is required for access.
  • Merck Institute of Aging & Health
    Lists evidence-based literature on various aging-related topics, toolkits for professionals, a journal club, and links to finding and evaluating consumer health information.
  • SAGE: Science of Aging Knowledge Environment
    Developed by Science and the AAAS, the site features content for many types of researchers, including geneticists, molecular physiologists, and biologists working in diverse experimental systems. Content is free until Fall 2002, and registration is required.

    An extensive list of health and government online resources, provided by Stanford Hospital and Clinics.
  • WorldHealth.net
    The official web-site of the Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine designed to foster the spread of anti-aging medical information and knowledge.
  • GPnotebook
    'The content of GPnotebook is based on clinical practice in the United Kingdom and provides a clinical reference guide for general practitioners and medical students'. The geriatric component is divided into basic geriatric knowledge and geriatric problems. Free, but registration required.
  • National Guideline Clearinghouse
    A database of more than 600 evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and related documents from over 50 organizations, produced by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality in partnership with the American Medical Association and the American Association of Health Plans. Search engine allows keyword retrieval, by disease/condition, treatment/intervention and organization to retrieve documents such as "Practice guideline for the treatment of patients with delirium. American Psychiatric Association. 1999 May. 41 pages."
  • Physician's Guide to Assessing and Counseling Older Drivers
    Developed by the American Medical Association in cooperation with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
