Biosketches and CPOS in SciENcv

This Guide is about how to use myNCBI's SciENcv for the 2024 common forms (Biosketches and the Current, Pending, and Other Support report) new formats for NSF and NIH.

Adding My Bibliography content from a Zotero file

These directions focus on Zotero, but if you use EndNote, Mendeley, or any other citation manage that can export to .ris format it will work very similarly. When you export or "save as" or download from your citation manager, make sure the format is RIS.

Starting from in your Biosketch, go to the citations/products section and look for the link that references My Bibliography.

You will be taken to a new browser tab or window at the My Bibliography home page.

Click the +Add Citations button, then choose the From a file menu option.

Navigate to where you saved the RIS file that you created earlier, and choose that file.

After a moment, the citations that were exported from Zotero to the RIS file should appear in your My Bibliography lsit. Please take a moment to check that the entries came in accurately! Any abbreviations, unusual formatting, or typos that were in your Zotero will be imported into the My Bibliography list and will carry through to your Biosketch if inserted there, so cleaning the citations is important.

You can now close this tab to return to where you were in your BIosketch, or use the button with your username to return to your dashboard. You may need to refresh the page or save and exit the biosketch then come back in before the My Bibliography list shows up with your new options added.
