James Branch Cabell Library

  • The Workshop (Creative Technologies and Scholarship)   
    • Lower Level
    • Offers a comprehensive suite of multimedia resources and services. With state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment, a cross-platform editing lab for video, sound and graphics, and a makerspace with 3Dprinters, laser-cutter and more, our experienced staff will help you discover, learn and create.

    • A selection of new, visually rich books on Art, Craft and Design topic

Health Sciences Library

  • Makerspace  
    • First Floor
    • Available equipment includes 3D printers, a 3D scanner, Virtual Reality systems, a Glowforge laser cutter, and several computer workstations capable of creating and editing multiple types of projects. 
  • Multimedia Collaboration Room 
    • Lower Level
    • Available to VCU faculty, staff and students for study and for those who need specialized equipment for multimedia projects including audio, video, scanning and large format printing.

Color Printing

Large Format Color Printing (available at both libraries)

  • Maximum Size
    40 inches on the shortest side.  It can be as long as you need it.
  • Cost
    $15 per foot of the longest side of the finished printed product.  
    Example:  A poster 32 inches (2 feet 8 inches) tall by 64 inches (5 feet 4 inches) wide costs $90.  
  • How fast can it be printed?
    5 business days or less.  You'll receive an e-mail when your poster is ready.
