If you can't find the DVD that you want at VCU, try these services.

Find DVDs and Other Films @ VCU Libraries

  • Search in VCU Libraries Search and refine results by Material Format e.g. Video Recordings, Online Videos, DVDs, Blu-Rays, Videocassettes, and 16mm Film Reels.
  • Request Cabell Library DVDs, Blu-Rays, videos, and 16mm films through VCU Libraries Search, then pick them up at the Information Service Desk, 1st floor, Cabell Library. 
  • VCU Faculty can also book or schedule DVDs, videos and films for future dates using the Film Booking Form .

Online Video @ VCU Libraries

VCU Libraries collection of online educational films can be accessed through VCU Libraries Search. 
Limit your search results to Full Text Online, Digital Collections, or Internet Video.  You can also go directly to the Databases.

Search VCU Libraries for Foreign Films

Browse international films through VCU Libraries Search:

  1. Advanced Search options: 
    • Search your topic or "videorecording OR motion picture" 
    • Select one of 5 Languages or "Any Language"
  2. Refine My Results facets: 
    • Material Type: "Foreign Language Films" 
    • Language:  select one of 34 languages
  3. Kanopy Streaming includes a growing collection of international films: 
    • Browse by Subject / Film & Popular / Foreign Language Films.  
    • Use Kanopy's  Language Sort option at the bottom left column.  
    • Choose from over 110 languages.
