What makes a resource 'historical'? It can depend on the resource. Current newspapers provide access to recent editions, and often include access to their archive as well. Newspapers with a long publishing history make choose to separate their older content from more recent news, and create collections which may be described as historical. For example, the Black Historical Newspapers is a set of 27 individual newspapers; some of their archives begin in the late 1800s, others in the 1960s.
