Movies in other languages

Watch movies in your destination country's language! VCU owns thousands.

Search tips

  • If you want a particular movie, try a search for its title (for example, Amelie).
  • To browse a list of movies in your language:
    • Go to library.vcu.edu and click Advanced in the gold search box
    • Select Audio Visual from the Material Type dropdown menu
    • Select your language from the Language dropdown menu
    • Enter videorecording as a search term in the first search box
    • Click the Search button

Text-to-speech translation by Google

Google Translate provides the ability to hear translations spoken out loud by clicking a speaker icon beside some translations.

The feature provides support for French, Spanish, Italian, German, Hindi, and Haitian Creole, and serviceable — if not perfect — speech for Greek, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Latvian, Macedonian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, and more than one dozen other languages.
