Offered in collaboration with the Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS) and the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB)

Essential education in how to safely and competently use opioids in the treatment of chronic pain for prescribers, pharmacists, dentists, dental specialists, providers working with veterans and military personnel, other healthcare providers. Includes video case studies that model complicated provider-patient interactions around prescribing opioids for chronic pain including provider debriefs and reflections.

Guidelines developed by St George’s Medical School, University of London cover substance misuse across medical disciplines and include common clinical presentations and management within four categories: Clinical Presentations; Specialties and Settings; Communication, treatment and prevention interventions; and Distinctive Groups.
