Please note, building access may be limited to VCU users only, including students, staff, and faculty. For our guests including Alumni and Friends of VCU Libraries, we invite you to please check this FAQ for access information

Note that Alumni and Friends of VCU Libraries are now able to utilize Interlibrary Loan to request items in our collections and use the front door pickup service

Welcome to Cabell Library! Though our library is geared to the academic work of the VCU Monroe Park Campus, we are happy to see high school students, teachers and librarians. You may have special research needs that would be better suited to our collections than your own, please stop by and take advantage of our great resources. Additionally, your school may be eligible for borrowing privileges at VCU Libraries; to learn more about borrowing review the information on the Librarians and Teachers tab or check with your school's librarian.

In addition to using our physical collections while in the building, high school students may want to take advantage of our Saturday computer use policy; space permitting.

Cabell Library Hours

High school students and teachers may visit Cabell Library on their own any time between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.  After 10 p.m., only members of the VCU Community with active VCU Cards may access Cabell Library. Current library hours for both Cabell Library and Health Sciences Library are posted online.
