You should never pay to access sources for your research during college! If you find a relevant source but hit a paywall, VCU Libraries can get it for you for free.
VCU Libraries collects materials useful to its researchers, but no library can purchase everything. Fortunately, the VCU Libraries participates in programs that allow us to borrow materials from other libraries, at no cost to you. If you have found something through the VCU Libraries Search, a database, or Google Scholar, and VCU does not have access to the full text, you can request it through interlibrary loan.
This service is free to all users. Articles and book chapters will be shared with you electronically. Print books will be held for pick-up at the library if you live on campus or in the metro Richmond area, or mailed to your home if you live outside the metro Richmond area.
