Did you know that The Workshop has a metal detector available for loan?

A metal detector is an electronic instrument that detects the presence of metal nearby. They are useful for finding metal objects buried underground or metal elements hidden within objects. Metal detectors generally consists of a sensor probe that is swept over the ground - when the sensor comes near a piece of metal, it produces a particular audible tone. The Garrett Ace 300 is an easy to use metal detector that has different tones for different metals and target distances.
